Cheery Cherry Almond Granola
Mix together in one extra-large bowl, or two large bowls:
- 8 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups sliced almonds
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup ground flax
Warm over low heat:
- 2/3 cup canola oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup brown rice syrup
- Then add 2 T vanilla extract to oil & sugar
Pour oil mixture over oats and mix thoroughly. Divide granola in two separate batches. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
When cool, add approximately 1-2 cups of chopped dried cherries.
Store in an air-tight container to enjoy over cereal, yogurt…or by the handful.
