Mornin’!
Boy, oh boy… I think a quiet Sunday morning accompanied by an extra scrumptious breakfast is deserving of a spot on my Top 10 Favorite Things list…if there was such a thing ; ) The fact that one of my roommate’s guests was asleep on our couch wasn’t going to stop me from getting into the kitchen to make waffles at 9:00am. I made a variation of Sinless Saturday Sunday Waffles:
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 T ground flax
1 T baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups 1% milk
1/4 cup canola oil
1 mashed banana
1 egg
…topped with a dollop of 0% Greek, coconut, toasted pecans & real maple syrup.

In other news, I made enough bread to end world hunger in my Elementary Foods lab Thursday. I got a few puzzled looks from passengers as I rode the bus home with a backpack full of Honey Whole Wheat Bread, perspiring the scent of sweet yeast.
Speaking of Elementary Foods…I have my second exam in that class tomorrow. I feel like all I ever talk about is test, after test, after test – story of my life. Monday is going to be a killer day:
10:00am: Organic Chemistry
11:00am: CA Cultural Landscapes
[Lunch + Study]
2:00pm: Exam
4:00pm: Food Safety & Sanitation
7:00pm: Required lecture about safety I must attend before registering for classes – ugh.
Doesn’t look like there’s going to much time for exercise, so I better get in some moves today. Just 4 days remaining of my Move It in March CHALLENGE!
Let’s talk breakfast!
- What’s your favorite breakfast?
- Do you have savory or sweet a.m. taste buds?
- Coffee? Tea? Juice?
- Little meal? Big meal?
Shower me with visions of sugar plums pancakes and pastries dancing in my head…

That waffle photo looks amazing!
Regarding your, let’s talk breakfast…
1. Oats, def.
2. I love either.
3. Tea.
4. Usually little, but if it’s oats – all bets are off. And if I have a big workout planned I tend to try for the bigger meal.

Your waffle mix sounds fantastic! I love waffles but have never made them from scratch and am a bit put off by the un-healthy mixes. We’ll definitely have to try this!
1. I love breakfast so much I can’t possibly choose a favorite!
2. Both!
3. Coffee with breakfast.
4. I like a substantial breakfast to refuel after my a.m. workout and keep me moving through lunch!

1. Waffles with butter in every square.
2. Sweet ALL THE WAY! I love an excuse to eat a dessert type thing as a meal.
3. Juice and Milk
4. Medium meal – too little and I’m snacking the rest of the day, too big and I feel lethargic and lazy the rest of the day. haha.

My answers!
What’s your favorite breakfast? Oats, or poached eggs.
Do you have savory or sweet a.m. taste buds? Savory most of the time.
Coffee? Tea? Juice? Sometimes coffee / sometimes tea / sometimes none!
Little meal? Big meal? Medium I guess?

Those waffles look amazing. I assume you have your own waffle pan, I so want one of those! Onto breakfast (my favourite meal of the day btw!)
1. So many – I love indulgent breakfasts like pancakes or waffles but the thing I crave most in the mornings is cereal and cold milk – perfect!
2. Savoury definitely just after I wake up on weekdays, but during the weekends, if I get up and potter around for a bit, my appetite wells up and I can easily eat something sweet.
3. Juice first thing on weekdays but at the weekend coffee is so nice with brekkie.
4. I prefer medium! Cereal and toast on weekdays then something a little bigger at the weekend.
PS. I am so going to make those sinless waffles (when I have a pan!)

Your waffles look great! I absolutely love waffles with a tablespoon of peanut butter. But chocolate oats has to be my go to meal in the morning. It keeps me full until lunch or a mid-morning snack.

1. My favorite breakfast is definitely a Belgian waffle, topped with bananas and walnuts!
2. My A.M. taste buds are very SWEET :)
3. I just like water…but if I had to choose, coffee, but only once a week! Haha.
4. I like small meals for breakfast, just enough to get me going in the morning!
